Our Journey to La Liste
Our journey began in mid-2019 as a small vegan bakery in the heart of Glebe, Sydney. Founded by David Rigby, a fine-dining chef with a passion for vegan cuisine, Oh My Days has always strived to push the boundaries of what plant-based baking can achieve. After persevering through the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued to innovate, earning a loyal customer base along the way. David Rigby: The Visionary Chef
David Rigby, our founder and head chef, brings a wealth of experience from his time at renowned establishments such as Bentley, Est., and China Doll. His transition from fine dining to vegan patisserie was driven by a desire to showcase how plant-based ingredients can create exceptional food.
David's approach to vegan baking focuses on using high-quality, organic, and preservative-free ingredients to ensure that each creation is both delicious, health-conscious, and friendly to the environment. His commitment to using the finest vegan butter and organic flours has been transformative, enabling us to create pastries that not only rival but are superior to their traditional counterparts.
Kevin: The Master Baker
Kevin's journey in baking began at a very young age in his father's bakery in Indonesia, where his first toys were pieces of dough. Immersed in the world of baking from childhood, Kevin's early exposure to the craft fostered a deep passion that has shaped his entire career. With more than 18 years of formal baking experience and training from Le Cordon Bleu, Kevin brings a perfect blend of tradition and innovation to our kitchen.
Kevin's dedication to excellence ensures that our dairy-free pastries not only stand out but set a new standard in the industry. His vast experience allows him to create pastries that are both delicious and meticulously crafted.
